02/08/2005: "Little Red Riding Chow"

It's beautiful outside. A perfect Winter day to do some trekking in the woods.
The right way to start trekking is NOT to put on skis or snowshoes.
It's imperative to sniff your trees, mark them, then roll in the snow very near by.
That's the right way to start your trek day.
NEXT: Go get the neighbours and expect them to come with you at 7:00am.
It's doesn't matter if they had a party and tied one on the night before. Make sure you get them all out of bed very early!
NEXT: Don't rush, take your time, sniff everywhere. You could accidentally miss an exciting smell by rushing too much... so walk slowly, even slower than a human. This is very important.
NEXT: Golden rule #1 - ALWAYS try to leave the snot-nosed shar-pei at home. She's a terror, and deviante and a nervous, barking wreck.
Snot-nosed shar-pei are generally always in the way, don't go slow and jump all over the place making the "sniff" process next to impossible.
ABOVE: See that yellow rope? Well it's 50 ft long cause snot-nose is going to school, apparently learning how to listen to commands. HA HA HA HA !
The idea is we let her out 50 feet and call her to come back (like she doesn't know she has it on).... sometimes Humans...... well anyways, all that happens is my paws get tangled in the whole mess.
Why can't she listen to commands like I do ?? ... then we wouldn't need rope at all, especially yellow rope. What a chow-fashion "don't"!
*sigh* - it's been a long day. Human says we trekked 5 miles today.
My paws are killing me and this bag weighs a ton.
I think I'll roll on it and try to get if off.
I'm already looking forward to my afternoon snooze!
I'm wondering why "I" have to carry this and not snot-nose!
There is no justice in my life sometimes.
