02/06/2006: "Brrrrrrr... It's So Cold This Morning!"
As many of you know we get an early start to our day here and you'll easily
find us outside for our brisk walk anywhere from 6:00 am or 6:30. The sun
is not up yet, so it's cold. Sassy is fitting right into our hectic scheme
of things, albeit she does protest from time to time, but as you can see ,
all's well.
After a brisk 1 kilometer walk, we head home to breakfast.
Sassy is walking very nicely on a lead now, full of confidence she's now
"pulling forward", and she no longer falls off sidewalks AND no one see's
that she's disabled until she bumps into a wall or something. She still has
to learn the "sit-"stay" stuff , but we'll give her plenty of time.
She does respond to her name and comes running when called.
Merlin as you can see is very jealous of all the attention the girls are
getting, and came to me the other day with some story about how his feet
were cold. What could we do??? Well we went out to get him some "mega" boots
too so he doesn't feel neglected. Now he's a happy Merlin and looks forward
to his outdoor frolicks!
Dressing three dogs is like getting kids ready for kindergarten every
morning!
We had a great walk and Sassy was happy to come back and park herself next
to the fireplace.
