I am sorry for your loss. I am sorry I did not know her transition was so close at hand. But I am very glad Sassy got her quality time with you first. She was getting a taste, finally, of heaven, which she is now experiencing to its full extent, while we are still left here on this mortal plane to take care of some others who need caring right now. Bas Noir and Puffy and Bean were surely wagging their tails to see Sassy arriving. The tribute you wrote to Sassy is beautiful and heartfelt, and we will be happy to meet Sassy at The Bridge, along with BN, Puffy and Bean, soon enough. MM, you did very well by her, and all the angels thank you.

What a sweet face, how could anyone have harmed her. She was blessed to find you and you were blessed to find her. Having abused dogs myself I know the special joy of seeing them discover comfort, a fully tummy and treats. Those memories warm your heart when the cold reality of life steals her from you.
I know she is making the Angels smile now and you will see her again and this time she won't be afraid of anyone.

She had one bright spot in her life .. when you took her home and loved her...and in her way, she loved you and trusted you... and that is more than she had before she came to you. So sorry for your loss! I sincerely hope you are deep in great Sassy Girl memories - and that those fond memories (perhaps of Sass at the pool) help you and your family (2 and 4 footed) in these days to come.
Sassy Girl is in good company though. Our Olivia (14 y/o smooth collie rescue) passed away on December 16. We miss her still....

I read Sassy's story, how sad that she is gone :o( She is so beautiful and seems to really love and trust someone on the other end of the camera. What was wrong with her?
Always know this, Sassy is across the bridge and sees clearly now . . . she is free. Her & God both know exactly what you did for her and one day you will see her again!!
