03/01/2007: "She's Here! She's Here - Our house guest is here"

She looked for Mom for at least 5 minutes.... well, not true... how about 3 minutes.... ok 1 minute... actually she's looking at a rabbit. She's not looking for her Mom at all. We're justr tying to make Mom feel better.

Well her nose is into everything and anything. Pumpkin is totally intrigued with Merlin. It's like she's never seen him before, and he's totally unimpressed. He's sitting outside sulking. *sigh*
Don't worry Merlin, Pumpkin's only visiting for a few days. Please be a good host and welcome her!


Well it's total pandamonium here. Meimei and Pumpkin are running all over my thimble having a blast and creating general havoc!

Sure didn't take long for Miss Pumpkin to settle right in. I think Pumpkin's mom needs to put out the Amber Alert for her newly stolen Pei. Didn't take you long to fall head over heels for her. Poor Merlin. Your house is never going to be the same after the pei play this weekend.

Merlin, I'm with you, buddy. Chow logic dictates that the Chow is the King of the House regardless of Pei-liens visiting or staying. They will eventually understand this, too, when they see that only the showing of proper respect will ever get the Chow to accept anything or anybody new. Except puppies... big dignified male Chow Kings go totally soft over puppies, and will do anything to protect and nurture puppies. Even dear old Bas Noir, the grumpiest Chow in VA, was totally accepting of every sort of puppy misbehavior, until the puppy became about 5 months old. Then he demanded respect. He got it too. Hang in there King Merlin, and protect the household from any new food stuffs, by inspecting all newly arrriving or created foods first, before letting any humans or Pei-liens endanger their selves by eating anything not already "inspected by Chows".
